A two-day trip from Jagtial to Hyderabad is about 500 km in all. A Baleno is Rs. 2370 for the two days, a driver is on average Rs. 1200 to Rs. 1500 a day on top, and fuel is yours at about Rs. 2900. There's no extra night charge for the driver. You arrange your own hotel.
Ramoji Film City in one day from Jagtial is a long day, as the Ramoji Film City guide explains. Two days is easier on everyone: one night in Hyderabad means you aren't driving home in the dark after a day on your feet.
A simple two-day plan
Day 1. Ramoji Film City, then the city for the night. The leaving time, the tickets and what to expect inside are all in the Ramoji Film City guide, so they aren't repeated here.
Day 2. Spend the day in the city. Charminar, Golconda Fort, Hussain Sagar and the Salar Jung Museum are the usual stops. Check each place's opening times before you go. Then head home to Jagtial. The airport guide covers the route and the drive time on the same road.
What a two-day trip costs
| Two days from Jagtial | Car | Driver, if you want one | Fuel guide, yours |
|---|---|---|---|
| About 250 km a day, 500 km in all | Rs. 2370 | Rs. 2400 to Rs. 3000 | About Rs. 2900 |
| Up to 500 km a day, with a lot of city driving | Rs. 3570 | Rs. 2400 to Rs. 3000 | Depends on the route |
Fuel is worked out at about 19 km to the litre. Tolls and parking are also yours, and so is the driver's food. The price calculator works out any other plan, and the 7-seater is priced on the call.
With a driver or self-drive?
Both cost the same for the car. A driver is worth it if you'd rather not find your way around Hyderabad after a long day, and it means the whole family can rest on the road. Self-drive suits you if you know the city and want to go at your own pace. You bring the car back to Jagtial either way.
